About Western Chassis Inc
Western Chassis was established in 1981 in California’s Central Valley upon development of the first automotive drop spindle. The area was a haven for lowered vehicles, especially lowered trucks. Cutting or heating the vehicle’s springs compromised ride quality to achieve the lowered look. In order to offer a solution to poor ride issues, Western Chassis Inc. developed the first drop spindle for the 1955-1957 model Chevrolet passenger cars. This was quickly followed by the first drop spindle for the C-10 Chevrolet Pickup (1970-1987). Western Chassis’ innovation fixed the harsh ride and created the industry known today as “Sport Trucks.” The drop spindle made it possible for even the most comfort-demanding driver to enjoy the sleek new look. Since its inception, Western Chassis Inc. has been manufacturing high-quality, American made products for the Sport Truck enthusiast. Located in Carlsbad, California, Western Chassis continues to provide the Sport Truck enthusiast with a large variety of Sport Truck applications for vehicle models from 1960 through present day trucks and SUV’s.
